Medical Reporting Nurse (Full‑time, Cape Town)

About the role

The Medical Reporting Nurse joins Lalu’s Group function to transform patient records into accurate, compliant medical reports. Working on‑site in Cape Town, you will support clinical governance, safeguard patient confidentiality, and help the business deliver high‑quality health data services across all Lalu service lines.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct electronic review and sign‑off of a wide range of reports, including SARs, insurance, DWP, MOD, legal aid, court disclosures, police requests and occupational health reports.
• Curate medical reports to ensure relevant information is identified, organised and presented according to client requirements and legal frameworks.
• Apply professional judgement to assess the accuracy, completeness and appropriateness of report content.
• Review patient records – demographics, consultations, medications, immunisations, investigations, correspondence and uploaded documents.
• Maintain patient confidentiality, support clinical governance and manage clinical risk.
• Identify process and system enhancements, develop best‑practice guidance and support onboarding of new staff.
• Promote high standards across the organisation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong professional judgement to evaluate report accuracy and completeness.
