Medical Executive - Western Cape

About the role

Servier is looking for a Medical Executive based in the Western Cape to promote its pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals. The role provides detailed product information and scientific benefits, drives sales targets and enhances patient care within the assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Promote products ethically, supporting increased prescriptions and pharmacy sales in line with company strategy
• Meet customer call rates, frequency and coverage requirements, and conduct customer sales analysis and call planning
• Develop business plans, coordinate CPD-accredited meetings and ensure compliance with speaker and event obligations
• Share field insights with management and collaborate across teams
• Attend team meetings and national sales conferences, and comply with regulatory and company policies
• Identify and escalate code compliance, regulatory and pharmacovigilance risks promptly
• Complete mandated compliance training and keep accurate paper and electronic records
• Build relationships with internal staff, the Sales team, Training, Medical and Marketing departments, and external stakeholders; represent Servier at local specialist congresses
• Maintain sales records, prepare regular reports for sales management and manage expenses within the approved budget

Required profile

• Degree in a science-related field or equivalent qualifications
• Post-graduate degree in health sciences or related fields
• 1-3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Able to absorb and recall technical medical information efficiently

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
