About the role
To assist the mechanic with daily repairs and maintenance of earth‑moving machines at Isambane Mining’s Klipfontein site. The role involves inspecting equipment, diagnosing faults and ensuring safe operation of the machinery.
Key responsibilities
- Repair and maintain various earth‑moving machines.
- Perform daily inspections, fault finding and report breakdowns to mechanics.
- Attend to breakdowns promptly as required.
- Work safely at all times and report hazards or unsafe conditions to a superior.
Required profile
- Strong verbal, written and electronic communication skills.
- Leadership abilities and a customer‑focused attitude.
- Planning, problem‑solving and the ability to work under pressure.
- Medical fitness records and willingness to undergo required assessments.
Required skills
- Understanding of earth‑moving machinery.
- Knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA).
