Marketing Manager

About the role

The Marketing Manager will lead all elements of the brand marketing mix across Southern Africa, ensuring the brand maintains its dominant market position. This senior role involves strategic planning, budget management, and cross‑functional collaboration to drive growth and customer loyalty.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the annual marketing plan and manage the associated budget.
• Oversee national above‑ and below‑the‑line marketing activities, including agency and vendor relationships.
• Lead menu and new product development, building a two‑year innovation pipeline and accurate promotion forecasts.
• Drive menu optimisation, pricing strategy and gross profit targets.
• Manage packaging development and consumer research to inform strategic decisions.
• Present marketing plans at franchisee conferences, forums and regional roadshows.
• Maintain digital and social media strategy, CRM implementation and public relations initiatives.
• Prepare quarterly marketing updates for the executive committee and ensure regional plans align with brand strategy.

Required profile

• A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communication or Advertising.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in FMCG, retail or fast‑food marketing, preferably with franchising exposure.
• Proven track record of building brands and leading successful teams.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
