Marketing & Engagement Manager

About the role

The ENTERTAINER is seeking a Marketing & Engagement Manager to lead user growth, engagement and retention for its B2B Client x ENTERTAINER app in South Africa. The role is performance‑driven, focusing on translating marketing activities into measurable outcomes such as increased app downloads, higher active usage and stronger merchant offer redemptions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute acquisition strategies to boost app downloads and activations across client and open markets.
• Manage paid‑media campaigns and explore new acquisition channels.
• Leverage internal channels (app, CRM, push notifications, email) to maximise conversion.
• Drive ongoing user engagement, repeat usage and offer redemption through personalised CRM campaigns.
• Plan and run high‑impact seasonal, merchant‑led and exclusive campaigns aligned to acquisition, engagement and revenue goals.
• Own social‑media strategy, content creation, calendar management and community interaction.
• Collaborate with sales and account teams to enhance merchant visibility, footfall and revenue.
• Monitor, analyse and report on KPIs such as downloads, MAU, redemption rates and campaign ROI, conducting A/B testing and optimisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in performance‑driven marketing for mobile apps or digital platforms.
• Strong track record of delivering user acquisition, engagement and retention results.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with product, sales, and account management teams.
• Data‑oriented mindset with experience analysing campaign performance and user behaviour.
