Marketing Coordinator - Southern Africa Area

About the role

Lesaffre, a global group founded in 1853 and a leader in yeasts, bread-making ingredients and technical support, is looking for a Marketing Coordinator for its Southern Africa area. Reporting to the Sub-region Director, you will drive brand growth, demand generation and customer engagement for yeast and baking solutions across Southern Africa, supporting South Africa, Zimbabwe and Kenya and markets such as the Indian Ocean, Angola, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda. You will develop and run online and offline marketing strategies, optimise the marketing mix (4Ps) and work with sales, R&D and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement localized marketing strategies and lead the marketing mix (product positioning, pricing, distribution, promotions)
• Run market research on competitors, trends and customers to find growth opportunities
• Manage websites, social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram), email campaigns and WhatsApp communications
• Animate and manage local mobile apps for craft bakers through annual editorial calendars and track traffic, engagement and conversion KPIs
• Organize trade shows, events, in-store promotions (POS materials, distributor incentives), workshops and demo days
• Create B2B campaigns for industrial bakeries and food manufacturers, and B2C content such as recipes
• Support distributors with marketing collateral and training, and gather customer feedback
• Manage the marketing budget, oversee agencies, vendors and freelancers, and work with sales, R&D and finance

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or a related field
• 5+ years in marketing (B2B/B2C), including 3+ years in FMCG, food or agriculture
• Fluent English; French or Portuguese is an advantage
• Willingness to travel 30-40% within Southern Africa
