Marketing and Communications Manager

About the role

The Marketing and Communications Manager will shape and protect the corporate image of an established agro‑chemical manufacturer. Reporting to the Head of Department, you will lead internal and external communications, ensuring consistent branding across all channels and regions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual marketing promotion plans in collaboration with regional teams.
• Manage the corporate budget, track monthly spend and report to senior management.
• Lead product launches, advertising campaigns and social‑media initiatives across agricultural publications, websites and digital platforms.
• Coordinate large‑scale events, from planning to on‑site setup and post‑event reporting.
• Maintain relationships with Marketing and Commercial Managers across regions and oversee external agencies and contractors.
• Oversee website and digital platform updates, ensuring timely and accurate content.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in media relations, social‑media management and cross‑cultural projects.
• Strong understanding of local market needs and cultural differences.
• Ability to work with limited budgets and coordinate regional projects without direct reporting lines.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans, both written and spoken.
