Manufacturing Pharmacist

About the role

We are a fast‑growing South African nutritional supplement manufacturer seeking a Manufacturing Pharmacist to join our production and quality team. The role supports compliance with SAHPRA, SAPC, GMP and other regulatory requirements while ensuring efficient, high‑quality supplement production.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily manufacturing activities, including line opening, clearance, closing and reconciliation.
• Verify equipment cleanliness, production readiness and review manufacturing instructions.
• Monitor critical processes, document deviations, non‑conformances and drive investigations.
• Review and approve Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) and Batch Packaging Records (BPRs); sign off batches as required.
• Assist with product release in collaboration with the Responsible Pharmacist and Quality team.
• Maintain regulatory compliance, support product registrations, amendments and submissions via the SAHPRA portal.
• Participate in internal audits, CAPA implementation and support external inspections.

Required profile

• Qualified pharmacist with knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing and GMP.
• Detail‑oriented, able to work in a regulated environment.
• Strong documentation and investigative skills.
