Mandarin-speaking Human Resources Manager

About the role

An international organisation operating in South Africa seeks a Mandarin‑speaking Human Resources Manager to lead the full HR function for its Cape Town office. The role combines operational HR management, compliance oversight and strategic advice for both local and Chinese stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing to onboarding.
• Prepare and administer employment contracts, probation reviews, confirmations and employee exits.
• Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation, Employment Equity, BCEA and LRA.
• Handle employee relations, disciplinary hearings, grievances and performance matters.
• Represent the company in CCMA and other labour‑related proceedings as required.
• Oversee leave administration, attendance tracking and maintenance of confidential personnel records.
• Coordinate payroll‑related HR data, benefits administration and remuneration changes.
• Provide HR advice to local and international management on employment risks and policy development.
• Support organisational development, employee engagement and performance management initiatives.

Required profile

• Fluent in Mandarin and English (spoken and written).
• South African citizen or permanent resident with a valid ID.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Labour Relations or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably as an HR Manager or HR Business Partner.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour law and HR best practices.

• Negotiable salary range approximately R50,000 – R100,000 CTC per month.
