Maintenance Technician

About the role

Our client, a leading agricultural processing company, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliability and efficiency of production equipment. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, supporting utilities and infrastructure, and upholding health, safety and food compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve overall equipment effectiveness.
• Execute preventative maintenance programmes on automated production lines.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform minor repairs within targeted turnaround times.
• Support utilities, infrastructure and store control systems.
• Monitor maintenance costs against budget and achieve schedule targets.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and food regulations.

Required profile

• Trade‑tested Millwright qualification.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in FMCG, food processing or packaging environments.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts and weekends.
• Self‑starter with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
