Maintenance Technician – FMCG Plant

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Technician to join our Malmesbury facility in Cape Town. The role involves maintaining plant equipment, supervising the maintenance team, and ensuring the plant operates at optimal performance within a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, perform, and record preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and report downtime accurately.
• Maintain clean, organised maintenance areas and ensure temperature specifications are met.
• Supervise and lead the maintenance team, monitoring productivity and attendance.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (SHEQ) policies and proper use of PPE.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• Qualified Trade Test in Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
• 3‑5 years of engineering experience in an FMCG manufacturing setting.
