Maintenance Manager (GMR 2.1) – High Capacity Plant

About the role

We are seeking a technically strong maintenance leader to drive reliability, safety and uptime in a fast‑paced, high‑capacity food manufacturing environment. The plant operates at more than 3 MW and includes large‑scale processing, cold‑chain and distribution operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full maintenance function for a large‑scale production facility.
• Fulfil GMR 2.1 responsibilities and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies to improve plant reliability.
• Oversee breakdown management, fault finding and root‑cause analysis.
• Coordinate maintenance planning, projects, contractors and technical resources.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives focused on efficiency and downtime reduction.
• Ensure mechanical and electrical systems are maintained to required operational standards.
• Lead and develop a technical maintenance team.

Required profile

• Valid Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) – Factories.
• Experience with plants/facilities operating at 3 + MW.
• Minimum T3 / N5 technical qualification.
• Registered/appointed as a GMR 2.1 responsible person.
• Proven experience managing maintenance in a high‑capacity industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability.
• Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, processing or similar sectors.
• Strong leadership, planning and problem‑solving skills.
