Maintenance Artisan (Millwright / Fitter & Turner)

About the role

Join a high‑performing maintenance team in a leading food‑packaging manufacturer. As a Maintenance Artisan you will carry out planned and reactive work on production machinery, ensuring maximum plant uptime and safe operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance on production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to meet production targets.
• Inspect machinery and infrastructure to identify maintenance needs.
• Install, fit, assemble and repair mechanical components and systems.
• Carry out welding and fabrication work where required.
• Troubleshoot equipment and adjust settings to optimise performance.
• Support maintenance projects, equipment upgrades and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain drawings for spare components.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance and emergency call‑outs, working closely with production teams.

Required profile

• Qualified Millwright or Fitter & Turner.
• Proven experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
