Machine Operator - Turf Grass, Stadia & Hard Courts

About the role

The City of Ekurhuleni is looking for a machine operator to prepare turf grass and hard courts in sports facilities. The position involves operating specialised plant equipment according to manufacturer specifications and keeping the facilities maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare turf grass and hard courts in sports facilities
• Perform general maintenance of the facilities
• Use the resources allocated to the job effectively to carry out duties
• Report any equipment damage immediately to the supervisor, both in writing and verbally
• Carry out occupational health and safety duties and adhere to all occupational and safety regulations
• Carry out technical duties

Required profile

• Grade 10
• Relevant experience in the maintenance and operation of heavy specialised plant equipment in line with manufacturer specifications
• 2 years' experience in a similar environment
• Physical ability to perform all work required
