Logistics Specialist

About the role

Zara South Africa is looking for an experienced Logistics Specialist to ensure the smooth flow of stock across its supply chain. You will coordinate logistics activities across warehouses, transport, distribution, imports, and reverse logistics while maintaining compliance and service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of supply chain best practices, customs clearance requirements and related logistics factors.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, customs regulations, health and safety standards and all relevant legislation.
• Implement and maintain logistics systems, policies, procedures and operational processes internally and with external service providers.
• Train and support stakeholders on logistics processes, systems and operational requirements.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end logistics activities to move stock between suppliers, distribution centres, warehouses and retail stores.
• Monitor delivery schedules, proactively address delays and implement corrective actions.
• Analyse logistics performance data, prepare operational reports and drive continuous improvement.
• Investigate delivery discrepancies, stock variances and transport delays, ensuring timely resolution.
• Support Customer Service with logistics‑related queries such as delivery delays, proof of delivery requests and damaged shipments.
• Manage reverse logistics activities including returns, damaged stock, supplier claims and product recalls.
