Lindt Chocolate Advisor - Sandton City

About the role

Lindt is looking for a Chocolate Advisor for its Sandton City boutique. The advisor represents Lindt and delivers a premium customer experience, combining customer service, retail selling, cashier duties, inventory support and general store administration. The position suits people with previous customer service and retail experience who enjoy engaging with shoppers and contributing to sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers professionally, welcome them and help them choose products, including guiding those who need advice
• Explain chocolate products, ingredients, allergens, packaging and storage, and use product sampling to engage customers
• Contribute to sales targets by recommending products, promoting in-store offers and upselling where appropriate
• Process purchases through the point-of-sale system, handle credit card transactions, manage individual tills and count floats
• Support store operations: opening and closing procedures, cleaning checklists, temperature readings, courier deliveries, invoice checks, monthly stock counts and restocking
• Maintain a clean, presentable boutique and follow food hygiene and product handling procedures
• Handle daily paperwork and other store administration

Required profile

• Completed Grade 12 (Matric)
• Previous customer service experience
• Previous experience in a similar retail environment
• Sales skills and comfort with upselling
• Excellent communication skills and ability to handle several customers at once
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with good time management
• Compliance with grooming, hygiene and presentation policies
