Lighting Sales Consultant – Mid Management

About the role

Eagle Lighting is seeking an experienced Lighting Sales Consultant to lead and grow its sales operations in the Western Cape. This mid‑management position will manage existing client relationships while actively prospecting new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and expand an existing client base, delivering exceptional customer service.
• Prospect and acquire new business leads to achieve growth targets.
• Develop strong relationships with key industry players and decision‑makers.
• Achieve personal and company sales targets.
• Stay up‑to‑date with lighting trends, technology, standards and competitor activity.
• Manage the sales portfolio, including regular client calls and new opportunity sourcing.
• Support marketing initiatives to increase brand visibility.
• Handle general administration and database management tasks.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent; higher qualification in lighting or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the lighting industry.
• At least 2 years of FMCG or sales experience.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and lead a team.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• LED lighting product knowledge (non‑negotiable).
• Proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Outlook.
• Database management and pricing knowledge.
