Lecturer – Nursing College

About the role

Lenmed Nursing College is seeking a qualified Lecturer to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programmes. The role involves teaching, curriculum development, student assessment and participation in community‑engagement projects, reporting directly to the College Principal.

Key responsibilities

• Teach, supervise and assess students in lecture, seminar, tutorial and practical settings, including online assessments.
• Prepare study materials and contribute to the review and development of curricula for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
• Provide clinical accompaniment for students during practice placements.
• Participate in examinations, invigilation and college committees.
• Engage in research activities to enhance personal nursing knowledge.

Required profile

• Registered professional nurse and midwife with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Registered nurse educator, assessor and moderator with SANC.
• Degree in nursing (NQF level 7) and a post‑basic qualification in Adult Intensive Care Nursing.
• Minimum three years of teaching experience at higher education or tertiary level.
• A master’s degree is an added advantage.
