Lecturer - Applied Technologies

About the role

The University seeks a Lecturer in Applied Technologies to deliver and support large‑scale digital literacy modules. You will use technology‑enabled approaches to enhance student learning, assessment and feedback across substantial cohorts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver teaching, assessment and feedback for digital literacy modules with high student numbers.
• Apply learning technologies and structured processes to ensure consistent delivery.
• Coordinate and quality‑assure digital literacy programmes, including the Higher Certificate in IT: User Support Services.
• Monitor student performance and contribute to initiatives that improve success and progression.
• Participate in curriculum development and refinement of learning materials.
• Engage in research and academic development appropriate to the appointment level.
• Collaborate with faculty colleagues to integrate digital capability into disciplinary contexts.

Required profile

• Master's degree in a relevant field (progress toward a PhD is advantageous).
• Relevant tertiary‑level teaching experience, including curriculum design and assessment.
• Experience using learning technologies to support teaching and assessment.
• Demonstrated ability or strong potential to contribute to large‑scale teaching environments.
• Engagement with digital literacy, digital education, or technology‑enhanced learning.
