Lead Developer – Identity Management

About the role

A leading technology‑driven organisation is seeking an experienced Lead Developer specialising in Identity Management to join its Development and Engineering team in Centurion. This senior role combines technical leadership with hands‑on development of high‑performance APIs and identity solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across identity management and data engineering solutions.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, high‑performance APIs and back‑end systems.
• Define solution architecture and technical implementations in collaboration with architects and engineering leaders.
• Deliver strategic projects within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Maintain and enhance existing systems while supporting migrations to newer technologies.
• Ensure adherence to development standards, coding best practices, and testing methodologies.
• Mentor and coach junior developers and facilitate knowledge sharing across teams.
• Contribute to Agile delivery processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree/Diploma with 6+ years relevant experience, or 8+ years industry experience.
• Strong experience in C#.NET Core, SQL Server, identity management solutions, REST API development, and Entity Framework 6/EF Core.
• Proven ability to write scalable, high‑performance APIs.
• Experience configuring and managing identity management platforms.
• Deep SQL Server knowledge: relational design, complex queries, views, stored procedures.
• Hands‑on experience in SCRUM/Agile environments.
• Understanding of clean coding principles and source‑code management.
