KPH Unit Manager – Critical Care Units

About the role

The KPH Unit Manager will lead the Critical Care Units at Kathu Private Hospital, ensuring high‑quality nursing care and service delivery within a multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on patient safety, clinical governance and continuous improvement of care processes.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safe, cost‑effective, quality patient care aligned with Lenmed’s clinical governance strategy and evidence‑based practice.
• Monitor nursing quality indicators, clinical outcomes and patient experience, and implement group quality initiatives.
• Coordinate capacity building, mentoring, coaching, training and development for unit staff.
• Promote health and wellbeing of patients and employees while adhering to infection prevention standards and international precautions.

Required profile

• Relevant nursing qualification in Critical Care Nursing, Trauma Nursing or a related management qualification.
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse and compliance with SANC code and health legislation.
• Compulsory Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required skills

• Advanced computer literacy.
