Key Account Specialist – Medical Sector (Western Cape)

About the role

As a Key Account Specialist you will provide strategic leadership for market development, achieve sales targets and manage relationships with corporate pharmacy groups and wholesalers across the Western Cape.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and penetrate corporate pharmacies, wholesalers and selected pharmacy groups.
• Develop business opportunities for existing products and new segments within the customer base.
• Analyse gaps and execute strategies to ensure product listing and visibility with key customers.
• Drive outpatient growth in the medical retail industry within key accounts.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and hold regular meetings to review sales performance.
• Coordinate with sales, marketing, customer service, training and regulatory departments.
• Maintain up‑to‑date forecasting and manage supply channels both internally and at customer level.
• Work with third‑party agencies nationally to ensure product access at healthcare facilities.

Required profile

• Qualification or degree in Business or Life Sciences.
• Minimum 5–7 years experience in medical retail.
• Familiarity with the medical device industry and knowledge of the medical retail, wholesaler and pharmacy market decision‑making processes.
