Junior Warehouse Controller

About the role

An established and busy operation is seeking a hands-on, organised and energetic Junior Warehouse Controller to help run the warehouse day to day. The position is based in Peikeng (PE/Gqeberha) and pays R10 000 to R15 000 per month depending on qualification and experience. Candidates apply by sending their CV to the recruiter.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with receiving and dispatching goods and make sure every movement is accurately recorded.
• Coordinate the preparation, picking and staging of goods for delivery.
• Assist with loading and offloading vehicles and ensure goods are handled correctly.
• Monitor stock movement through the warehouse and report delays or operational issues.
• Check incoming and outgoing goods against relevant documentation.
• Capture and maintain accurate records of stock movements.
• Assist with regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Make sure goods are correctly labelled, identified and stored.
• Record damaged, returned or short-delivered goods and bring discrepancies to management's attention.

Required profile

• Matric.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution setting.
• Experience with stock control, receiving and dispatch.
• Good numerical and administrative ability with strong attention to detail.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and manage changing priorities.
