Junior IT Technician

About the role

SKG Properties is seeking a Junior IT Technician to provide day‑to‑day technical support across its commercial and industrial real‑estate operations in South Africa. Working under direct supervision, you will gain hands‑on experience with hardware, software, networking and business systems while supporting multiple client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver desktop and remote support for end users, including printer installation and configuration.
• Set up new users, configure hardware, and install software.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of business systems and log/escalate support tickets.
• Repair, clean, upgrade, and assemble laptops and desktops under supervision.
• Maintain monitor and screen cleanliness and identify basic faults.
• Assist with structured cabling, patch‑panel and switch‑port patching, cable testing and labeling.
• Provide site support, logistics assistance and occasional driver duties.
• Travel to other SKG branches as required and work overtime when needed.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• CompTIA A+ and CompTIA N+ certifications.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• At least one year of IT support experience or an equivalent internship/learnership.
