Junior IT Technician – Hospitality Support

About the role

The Junior IT Technician will join Village n Life’s Technology team in Camps Bay, supporting the IT backbone across hotels, apartments, spas, restaurants and offices. You will provide first‑line support, ensure system stability and help staff maintain the tools needed for excellent guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑tier IT support via tickets, calls and walk‑ins across all properties.
• Perform daily system checks, basic server monitoring and report to the Head of Technology.
• Deploy standardised computers, install software and set up new users.
• Troubleshoot Windows, macOS, MS365, mobile devices, email platforms and basic Active Directory tasks.
• Maintain asset registers, handle password resets, DSTV activations and vendor coordination.
• Conduct backup checks, monitor Mimecast and support basic POS and CCTV systems.
• Assist with audio‑visual equipment, smart TVs, conferencing and streaming setups.
• Support basic networking checks on switches, access points, cabling and security tools.
• Monitor inverter, generator and solar systems at an operational level.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent with a Microsoft or similar technical certification.
• 1–3 years of experience in an IT support role.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to follow through on tasks.
• Clear communication for assisting non‑technical users.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
