Junior Data Analyst

About the role

Our client, a specialist in financial analytics, is looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join its Johannesburg team. The role focuses on collecting, cleaning and analysing financial data to deliver actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, clean and organise data from multiple sources while maintaining data integrity.
• Maintain and update databases and data‑management systems.
• Analyse large financial datasets to detect anomalies, trends and patterns.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports using visualisation tools.
• Collaborate with finance, IT and other departments to understand data needs and implement data‑driven solutions.
• Identify and propose process improvements and stay up‑to‑date with industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of data‑analysis experience in the finance sector.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
