Junior Data Analyst

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to support data‑driven decision making across the business. You will work independently and collaboratively to collect, explore, and interpret data, helping shape strategies and evaluate results.

Key responsibilities

• Explore and manipulate data using standard tools to produce descriptive analyses.
• Support the interpretation of advanced analytics outputs with specialized software.
• Apply problem‑solving skills to improve business‑intelligence systems and data platforms.
• Extract, combine, and present data in standard reports that answer business questions.
• Maintain data recording processes, including archiving and updates.
• Collect data from multiple sources and produce accurate reports in predefined formats.
• Develop personal capabilities through training, conferences, and industry best‑practice research.

Required profile

• Minimum NQF Level 7 qualification – degree, advanced diploma or postgraduate certificate.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
