Application Technical Specialist

About the role

RedM Professional Services is seeking an experienced Application Technical Specialist to ensure the availability, health and optimal performance of business applications, with a focus on SharePoint on‑premises environments. The role involves providing technical support, resolving complex issues, maintaining infrastructure and collaborating with users, developers and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain applications by applying patches, upgrades and bug fixes.
• Monitor and evaluate new releases, upgrades and product replacements that could affect assigned applications.
• Configure infrastructure for optimal performance and install new features.
• Investigate and resolve medium‑ to high‑complexity technical issues.
• Collaborate with users, developers and stakeholders to address application‑related problems.
• Provide reports and recommendations on system performance and availability.

Required profile

• Degree at NQF Level 7 in Computer Science, Information Management, IT or equivalent.
• 6–8 years of experience in SharePoint on‑premises administration.
• SharePoint on‑premises administration certification.
• Proven experience setting up, maintaining and upgrading SharePoint on‑premises environments.
• Experience remediating vulnerabilities identified through security scans.
