About the role
Clydesdale is seeking a Junior Bookkeeper to join its team in Kloof, Durban. The role provides accurate and timely financial and administrative support to the finance department, helping maintain financial records, process transactions, reconcile accounts and ensure accounting information is captured correctly in line with company policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct efficient and secure cash-up of all Snip It tills
- Check and verify source documents such as invoices, receipts and computer printouts
- Request purchase orders from clients and finalise all PO requests
- Allocate and post financial transaction details to the subsidiary books and transfer data to the general ledger
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process and send invoices to clients and suppliers
- Capture stock, supplier and customer information accurately and on time
- Prepare for and attend weekly financial meetings
- Keep accurate records
Required profile
- Matric
- Bookkeeping certificate or qualification
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience
