Junior Bookkeeper / Accountant – Allens Nek

About the role

We are a homely and growing auditing and accounting firm located in the west of Johannesburg. We are looking for a motivated Junior Bookkeeper/Accountant to manage trial balances for a portfolio of clients. This role offers a supportive family‑type environment and opportunities for further accounting qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Full‑function bookkeeping to trial balance for a portfolio of clients.
• Capture UIF and WCA data accurately.
• Liaise with clients and process payroll using Simple Pay.
• Maintain financial records in Xero and generate regular reports.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounting role.
• Accounting qualification completed or in progress.
• Matric with good mathematics results.
• Own car and a valid driver’s licence for client visits.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
• Experience using Simple Pay payroll system.
• Familiarity with Caseware for financial statements.
