Junior AI Enablement & Automation Assistant

About the role

The Junior AI Enablement & Automation Assistant supports internal users in adopting approved AI tools to boost productivity, reduce repetitive work, and improve business outcomes. This entry‑level, business‑facing position is ideal for a curious, technology‑oriented individual who enjoys helping colleagues and identifying automation opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist employees with practical use of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot) for research, summarisation, drafting, analysis and workflow support.
• Create and deliver basic training, prompt‑writing guidance, templates, FAQs and internal knowledge articles.
• Identify suitable AI use cases, ensuring safe, responsible, and policy‑compliant deployment.
• Collaborate with business users to document repetitive or manual tasks and propose AI‑driven improvements.
• Support testing, validation and rollout of AI‑assisted workflows, measuring impact such as time saved and quality gains.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12 (high school diploma) required; a certificate, diploma or degree in IT, Business Systems, Data, Business Analysis or related field is advantageous.
• Entry‑level candidates are welcome; demonstrated interest in AI, automation and productivity tools is essential.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

Required skills

• Familiarity with AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude or Microsoft Copilot.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365, especially Excel.
• Experience or exposure to Power BI, Power Automate, APIs, scripting, databases or low‑code/no‑code platforms.
• Ability to create training material, user guides, templates or internal knowledge articles.
• Experience in help‑desk, training or business support environments is a plus.
