IT Support Engineer – Hybrid role in Cape Town

About the role

Join the IT Support team at Spatial Dimension and provide first‑line helpdesk assistance to local and global users. You will maintain and expand our cloud infrastructure across AWS, Google Workspace and Microsoft Azure while ensuring security, patching and identity management are up to date.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver timely technical support for user hardware, software and server issues.
• Manage cloud and on‑premise servers, including domain services, Microsoft Entra ID and AWS EC2 instances.
• Perform patch remediation, reporting and system updates.
• Support productivity suites such as Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
• Oversee hardware and software licensing, asset management and workstation configuration.
• Implement and monitor IT security policies, firewalls and endpoint protection.
• Prioritise and resolve help‑desk tickets in collaboration with the Cape Town team, both remotely and onsite.

Required profile

• Degree or certificate in an IT‑related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in IT support.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and self‑discipline.

Required skills

• Microsoft Windows environments and patch management.
• Microsoft Entra ID and Intune.
• Google Workspace administration.
• AWS cloud architecture and EC2 management.
• NinjaOne RMM, CrowdStrike Falcon.
• PowerShell scripting and MS SQL maintenance.
• Experience with ticketing systems and asset management tools.
