IT Sales Representative

About the role

A small and growing Durban‑based ICT company is looking for an IT Sales Representative to work in Gauteng. The role is client‑facing, requiring a well‑presented logical person who can build relationships and cross‑sell IT solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Expand the client base nationally through cold calling, contacts and telephonic outreach.
• Focus on growing the SME and corporate market.
• Visit new and existing customers regularly.
• Achieve monthly targets and quarterly budgets.
• Report weekly on sales activities, successes, failures and improvement actions.
• Promote and maintain the company’s name.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• Minimum three years of proven sales experience in IT hardware, software, infrastructure or services.
• Previous experience as an external sales representative for an ICT company.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Ability to generate new sales with minimal assistance (hunting role).
• Experience dealing with large‑scale ICT manufacturers, suppliers and distributors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
