About the role
The City of Tshwane is seeking IT Helpdesk Agents to provide functional ICT support to end‑users across the municipality. The role is a two‑year fixed‑term position based in Pretoria Central, focusing on desktop and network assistance.
Key responsibilities
- Set up, configure and install new hardware equipment.
- Perform software and hardware maintenance and troubleshoot faults.
- Provide efficient technical support to all end users and ensure daily service‑level agreements are met.
- Maintain an inventory of hardware devices.
- Investigate and resolve hardware and software issues.
Required profile
- Grade 12 qualification.
- 1–2 years experience in ICT end‑user or desktop technical support.
- A+ certification is an advantage.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to undergo a criminal record check and provide fingerprints.
- Planning and organising skills, oral communication, data conversion ability, user support skills, and cognitive ability.
