IT Field Technician

About the role

The IT Field Technician provides on‑site technical support for hardware, software and networking equipment across multiple client locations. The role involves installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and user training while adhering to service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain computers, peripherals and networking devices (LAN, VPN).
• Perform cabling, electronics work and hardware repairs on‑site.
• Respond to multichannel tickets, update ticket entries and ensure timely resolution according to SLA.
• Provide remote and on‑site support, including night and weekend shifts as required.
• Train end‑users on new hardware and software applications.
• Compile technical reports, site surveys and daily/monthly service reports.
• Escalate and manage IT infrastructure issues following defined escalation matrices.

• Strong written and verbal communication, especially for professional reports.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle rotational shift schedules.
• Commitment to excellent customer service and attention to detail.
