IT Auditor

About the role

The IT Auditor will evaluate, monitor and improve the effectiveness of Discovery's information systems, technology controls, security processes and regulatory compliance. This role ensures that IT environments are secure, efficient and aligned with business objectives while supporting the Group Internal Audit function.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and enhance IT general controls, application controls, technical infrastructure and cyber security measures.
• Perform audits in line with the internal audit methodology, providing feedback on planning, execution and reporting.
• Maintain and challenge risk profiles, delivering meaningful input on IT risk management improvements.
• Build and maintain relationships with Discovery entities and external assurance providers.
• Utilise data assurance, data analytics and Computer Assisted Auditing Techniques (CAATs) for continuous auditing.
• Define audit scope, purpose and approach; prepare engagement letters, audit planning memoranda and risk‑control matrices.
• Coordinate with Group Risk, Compliance and Forensics on audit issues and follow‑up actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IT audit or related internal audit functions.
• Strong understanding of IT risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to engage with senior stakeholders across multiple business units.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on improving control environments.
