iOS Developer – Intermediate & Senior

About the role

Mr D, a division of the Takealot Group, is seeking talented Intermediate and Senior iOS Engineers to join its fast‑growing mobile e‑commerce team in Cape Town. You will work on a cutting‑edge iOS application, modernising legacy code and delivering new features for millions of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of building and maintaining the iOS e‑commerce application.
• Modernise the legacy codebase and drive platform evolution.
• Design, develop, and test Swift code, including SwiftUI components.
• Apply best practices to ensure stability, security, and performance.
• Monitor and profile application performance.
• Participate in daily stand‑ups and manage workload effectively.
• Collaborate with creative, content, and engineering teams to deliver a world‑class mobile experience.
• Publish releases to the Apple App Store.

Required profile

• Information Technology or Computer Science degree, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (3‑5 years for intermediate, 5‑8+ years for senior with tech‑lead experience).
• Solid experience with SwiftUI and modern iOS development.
• Proven ability to work in an Agile team environment.
