Inventory Controller and Storeman

About the role

As an Inventory Controller and Storeman you will own the stores and inventory function at a production facility serving the space industry. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing and tracing electronic components, mechanical parts and consumables while maintaining strict ESD‑safe and humidity‑controlled conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Receive incoming goods, verify against purchase orders, and book parts into the production system.
• Support incoming inspection by checking part numbers, quantities, date codes and certificates of conformance, and quarantine non‑conforming material.
• Maintain lot/batch traceability from receipt through kitting to the finished unit in line with space‑industry quality requirements.
• Store and handle components using ESD‑safe procedures, dry cabinets and humidity indicator cards.
• Manage limited‑shelf‑life items with FIFO rotation and flag items approaching expiry.
• Prepare, verify and issue production kits, process kit returns and shortages.
• Conduct ad‑hoc cycle counts, periodic stocktakes and resolve discrepancies to keep the stock management system accurate.
• Pack, preserve and dispatch outgoing goods with appropriate ESD protection.
