Internal Communications Manager

About the role

The Internal Communications Manager will shape and deliver a cohesive People communications agenda across the Africa region. Reporting to the Director of Internal Communications, you will ensure employees are informed, engaged and connected to People priorities, culture and ways of working.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive the end‑to‑end People Communications agenda for Africa, aligning with People & Culture priorities.
• Translate People initiatives, policies and programmes into clear, timely communication for employees and people leaders across diverse markets.
• Coordinate all Africa‑related People communication inputs to avoid overload and fragmentation.
• Develop and deliver high‑quality communication materials (leadership messages, campaigns, toolkits, FAQs, intranet content) that are culturally relevant and inclusive.
• Set standards for tone of voice, storytelling and visual quality in People communications.
• Support People leaders with narrative development and cascade messaging.
• Own the employee listening agenda, including engagement and pulse surveys, and partner with People Analytics to turn feedback into actionable insights.
• Lead activation of the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and culture initiatives across Africa.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal or employee communications, preferably within African markets.
• Strong ability to translate complex People initiatives into clear, engaging messages.
• Excellent coordination, storytelling and content creation skills.
• Experience managing employee listening programmes and turning insights into action.
