Internal Auditor – Southern Africa

About the role

As an Internal Auditor for Volvo Trucks in Southern Africa, you will support the business in achieving its strategic and financial objectives. You will work cross‑functionally, applying a high level of integrity and an investigative mindset to ensure compliance and improve governance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform the full audit cycle, including risk management, control assessment and evaluation of operational effectiveness.
• Analyse accounting documentation, previous reports, data flows and flowcharts to identify weaknesses.
• Prepare and present audit reports that document findings and recommendations.
• Conduct ad‑hoc audits across branches and divisions, reviewing business processes and risk management procedures.
• Provide independent advice on validity, legality and achievement of audit objectives.
• Identify loopholes, recommend risk‑aversion measures and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Maintain open communication with management and follow‑up on audit recommendations.
• Stay updated on sector regulations, best practices, tools and performance standards.
