About the role

Join Entelect as an Intermediate JavaScript Software Engineer and help build world‑class web and mobile applications for leading organisations in South Africa. You will work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with cross‑functional teams and driving innovation through modern DevOps practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop world‑class web and mobile applications for leading South African organisations.
• Explore and implement containerisation and continuous integration to foster a DevOps culture.
• Participate in all SDLC phases, from design and analysis to scoping and estimation.
• Research and adopt innovative technologies to drive product quality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to solve complex business challenges.
• Build strong customer relationships and ensure compliance with data security regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of software engineering experience in an enterprise environment.
• Proven ability to write clean, maintainable code and follow best practices.
• Strong collaboration, communication and customer‑facing skills.
• Willingness to work hybrid, attending the office 2–3 days per week.
