Intellectual Property Associate

About the role

We are looking for an Intellectual Property Associate to join CWB’s trademark team. The successful candidate will have at least three years post‑qualification experience and will work on a broad range of IP matters across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on trademark availability, registration, examination reports and third‑party oppositions.
• Manage registration, renewal and maintenance processes for IP rights.
• Assist in the administration of IP portfolios and client relationships.
• Support enforcement actions, litigation, dispute resolution and settlement negotiations.
• Draft commercial IP documents such be assignments and licence agreements.
• Conduct legal research, IP due diligence and audit projects.
• Collaborate with CWB’s network of IP agents and develop protection strategies.

Required profile

• Qualified attorney or solicitor (UK, US, EU, South Africa, Australia or New Zealand preferred).
• Top‑tier law‑firm experience in trademark portfolio management, prosecution and contentious IP matters.
• Minimum three years post‑qualification experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic fluency and other languages are a plus.
