BEE Verification Analyst / Legal Specialist

About the role

SERR Synergy is looking for a BEE Verification Analyst / Legal Specialist to join its Cape Town office. The role provides end‑to‑end support to clients in meeting their B‑BBEE legal compliance obligations, from consulting on requirements to managing the verification process.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with a dedicated portfolio of clients on BEE requirements, targets and strategic needs.
• Prepare preliminary BEE ratings and compile complete verification files for external agencies.
• Manage the full verification process, ensuring timely submission and follow‑up.
• Perform administrative duties that support seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.

Required profile

• LLB, BCom, BA Law or equivalent qualification; extensive experience in B‑BBEE legislation is essential.
• Admission as an attorney is advantageous.
• Strong numerical proficiency and computer literacy.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Afrikaans is preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure, self‑starter with high integrity.
• Own reliable transport.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of B‑BBEE Codes of Good Practice and sector codes.
