Insurance Sales Specialist - Staff Cover

About the role

Simply is a digital life insurance company offering Family Cover, Staff Cover and Domestic Cover. It is looking for an experienced salesperson in long- or short-term insurance to drive sales of its Simply Staff Cover product, build client relationships and help clients get the coverage they need. Fluency in English and Afrikaans is a must.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet targets and grow the client base
• Pursue new business through your own networks and online platforms
• Market Simply products to your own leads and those generated by the marketing team
• Sell the Employee Staff Cover product via the broker portal, with follow-up and support
• Build lasting client relationships to ensure satisfaction, retention and referrals
• Meet prospects in person and via Teams, Zoom and other channels
• Work with internal teams to deliver seamless service and improve the customer value proposition

Required profile

• Matric certificate and RE5
• Undergraduate degree or diploma is advantageous
• At least 1 year of long/short-term insurance sales experience
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets
• B2B sales experience is essential
• Good fluency in English and Afrikaans
• Valid driver's licence and access to own reliable transport

Required skills

• CRM systems, MS Office Suite and LinkedIn for networking and sales
• Independent lead sourcing and pipeline building
• Customer-focused, with strong negotiation, communication and writing skills
