Insurance Broker (Bedfordview)

About the role

OUTsurance is hiring a broker for its Bedfordview office. The broker builds a book of short-term insurance and grows the business insurance portfolio by selling personal lines and commercial lines through prospecting and canvassing for new business. The broker reports directly to the regional manager and works closely with the wider commercial team.

Key responsibilities

• Grow and develop the business insurance portfolio by building a book of short-term insurance
• Sell personal lines and commercial lines by prospecting and canvassing for new business
• Work independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and accepting feedback

Required profile

• Matric or National Senior Certificate
• Own reliable vehicle with uninterrupted access and a valid code B driver's licence
• 3 years of external sales experience in a face-to-face selling environment
• Experience in lead generation, cold calling, relationship management and opening doors
• Previous experience as a FAIS representative requires FAIS credits and/or full insurance qualifications depending on date of first appointment
