Information Technology Lecturer (Full-time, On-site)

About the role

Richfield is seeking a full‑time Information Technology Lecturer for its Centurion campus. The role involves delivering engaging lectures, tutorials and practical sessions in IT‑related modules, ensuring alignment with the institution’s curriculum and academic standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials and practical exercises for assigned modules.
• Deliver lectures, tutorials and labs, fostering an interactive learning environment.
• Assess student work, provide timely feedback and support academic guidance.
• Contribute to curriculum development by integrating current industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Support Work Integrated Learning initiatives and collaborate with industry partners.
• Participate in academic administration, quality assurance and departmental activities.

Required profile

• Strong subject‑matter expertise in Information Technology, including current industry tools and best practices.
• Demonstrated teaching or lecturing experience with diverse student groups.
• Practical experience in software development and the ability to bring real‑world examples into the classroom.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field; postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
• Experience in higher education, curriculum delivery, assessment design and student support.
• Excellent communication, presentation and classroom management skills with a student‑centred approach.
• Proficiency with learning management systems and digital tools for blended learning.
