Information Security Manager – AI

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Manager with a focus on Artificial Intelligence to join a leading technology organisation in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for safeguarding AI platforms, machine‑learning solutions and generative AI applications while ensuring compliance and responsible AI practices.

Key responsibilities

• Protect enterprise‑scale AI services and data throughout their lifecycle.
• Design and implement secure AI and MLOps architectures.
• Conduct threat modelling and adversarial AI testing.
• Manage AI governance, risk assessments and compliance with relevant standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, security and AI teams on digital transformation projects.
• Monitor security operations, SIEM alerts and incident response for AI workloads.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or platform security.
• Proven experience securing AI, machine‑learning or generative AI environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, especially Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with AI governance, risk management and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
