Industrial Relations Consultant – Cape Town

About the role
Our client, a leading HR outsourcing firm in Cape Town, is seeking an experienced Industrial Relations (IR) Consultant to provide expert advice and manage labour relations matters for a diverse client base.
Key responsibilities
- Manage labour relations issues and deliver IR advice to clients.
- Chair disciplinary and grievance hearings.
- Represent clients at the CCMA and relevant Bargaining Councils.
- Draft employment contracts, policies and other labour‑related documentation.
- Conduct IR training, compliance audits and provide legislative updates.
- Develop strategies to ensure compliance and minimise labour‑relations risk.
Required profile
- Relevant degree (e.g., HR, Industrial Psychology, LLB).
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in industrial relations.
- Proven ability to represent clients independently at the CCMA and Bargaining Councils.
- Experience handling dismissals, conciliations and arbitrations without supervision.
