Identity & Access Management (IAM) Specialist – 6‑Month Contract

About the role

A leading multinational organisation based in Sandton, Johannesburg is seeking an experienced Identity & Access Management (IAM) Specialist on a 6‑month contract. You will join the IT team to administer, govern and optimise IAM processes, ensuring secure access to systems, applications and data while meeting compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Administer user identities, accounts, roles and access permissions across multiple platforms.
• Manage the full identity lifecycle – onboarding, transfers, role changes and off‑boarding.
• Configure and maintain logical access controls in line with security policies.
• Implement and enhance RBAC and ABAC access models.
• Support and configure Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solutions.
• Integrate enterprise applications using REST APIs and ensure seamless data flow.
• Provide audit evidence and support compliance reviews.
• Continuously improve IAM processes and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on experience in IAM or Information Security within medium to large enterprises.
• Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management and access governance.
• Experience with multi‑domain or multi‑forest environments is advantageous.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, Information Security or equivalent.
• ITIL Foundation, Microsoft, SailPoint or other security certifications are a plus.
