Human Resources Manager – Luxury 5‑Star Hotel

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Human Resources Manager to lead the people function of a prestigious 5‑star hotel in Cape Town. The role combines strategic HR leadership with hands‑on execution to foster a high‑performance culture that enhances both employee satisfaction and guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead employee and labour relations, ensuring compliance with South African legislation.
• Drive recruitment, onboarding, talent acquisition, and succession planning.
• Provide guidance on performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee development.
• Develop and implement training and leadership development programmes aligned with operational excellence.
• Oversee payroll, benefits, leave administration, and HR reporting.
• Support budgeting, workforce planning, and HR analytics.
• Promote health, safety, and a compliant workplace environment.

Required profile

• Degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as an HR Manager, preferably in a 5‑star hotel.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour law and HR best practices.
• Proven ability to influence and coach managers at all levels.
• South African citizen or permanent resident.
